The Mass Is Over
Nanni Moretti, a former campus radical, has renounced his past in order to become a priest. Moretti, upon arriving back in the town where he was raised, is shocked to see that the residents have lost their regard for the local religion. Moretti is unable to communicate with any of his old friends because they have all gleefully succumbed to the Seven Deadly Sins. He cannot even count on finding solace from his own family, which is a screwed-up aggregation that gives the word "dysfunctional" several new meanings. Moretti is unable to find solace from his own family.
