Dennis Barlow just moved to Hollywood from England and has to make arrangements for his uncle's burial at the well-run and very profitable Whispering Glades funeral parlor. Aimee Thanatogenos, one of their makeup artists, catches his eye. But he has three problems: the strict rules of his owner, Blessed Reverend Glenworthy, the competition of embalmer Mr. Joyboy, and the shame of now working at The Happy Hunting Ground, a pet cemetery.
