A savings-and-loan financial institution is burglarized; later on, a police wiretap determines bank employee Leon Poole as inside man. In capturing him, investigative Sam Wagner mistakenly kills Poole's young wife, and at his trial Poole swears revenge versus Wagner. Poole starts his plans to get revenge when he leaves his captors.
