When it comes to constructing a railroad in Africa, Sir Robert Beaumont is behind schedule. Beaumont expects results after enlisting the help of renowned engineer John Henry Patterson to correct the ship. Everything appears to be going swimmingly until the crew uncovers the disfigured corpse of the project's foreman, who appears to have been murdered by a lion. A series of additional attacks prompt Patterson to bring in legendary hunter Charles Remington, who has finally met his match in the form of the ferocious felines.
