The Death of Louis XIV
The month of August, 1715. Louis XIV experiences a discomfort in his leg after taking a walk. While the king continues to carry out his responsibilities, his sleep is disrupted and he suffers from a severe fever during the next few days. Irregular eating habits cause him to deteriorate. In this moment, the greatest monarch of France, surrounded by his relatives and doctors, begins his long and agonizing death by natural causes.
