The Crime of Monsieur Lange
A male as well as a female arrive in a cafe-hotel near the belgian frontier. The customers identify the man from the cops's description. His name is Amedee Lange, he murdered Batala in Paris. His lady friend Valentine tells the whole story: Lange was a staff member in Batala's little printing jobs. Batala was an actual bastard, duping every one, seducing female employees of Valentine's laundry ... Someday he got away to avoid facing his lenders, and the workers established a cooperative to take place working. But the story is lesser that the description of the ambience just before the Popular Front.
