The Catered Affair
Jane announces over breakfast that she and Ralph will marry the following week. Jane and Ralph only want a small wedding with close family and no reception. This is due to Jane's parents' financial situation, and Jane and Ralph will be able to borrow a car for their honeymoon. However, at dinner that night, Ralph's parents only talk about the lavish weddings they gave their daughters, and everything escalates. Suddenly, there's a large wedding breakfast with hundreds of guests. The issue is that Tom has been saving money for 12 years to buy his own cab and license, but now that he can, all of his money is going towards a wedding that neither he, Jane, or Ralph want.
