If you think about it, they changed the way young people around the world thought about things like "mass entertainment." Every time the group wrote and recorded a single or album, it was very popular. Pressure from being famous in a way that was never before seen led to a decision to stop touring in 1966 because it was too much for them to handle. Their albums changed how people listen to recorded music in the years that came after.
