Angela Barrows is a man-eating businesswoman sent by her American employer to investigate export opportunities in Edinburgh. On the way, she meets Robert MacPherson, a businessman who asks for her assistance in bringing his company into the twenty-first century. However, the staff, led by Mr Martin, has other ideas, and a battle between old and new business methods soon ensues.
