The Assassin Next Door
Two women live across the hall on the second floor of an old apartment building on the wrong side of the tracks, unknowing of each other. Galia is an assassin who has become involved with the local sex-trafficking mafia against her will. All she wants is to reunite with her young daughter, whom she abandoned in Russia. Eleanor is a battered wife and a grocery store cashier. She fantasizes about winning the lottery and leaving her abusive husband behind. Galia and Eleanor have never met, but they share two things as neighbors: an adjoining wall and a strong desire to plan their escape. As Galia defies her latest contract as a woman target, and Eleanor discovers she's pregnant, the two women decide to fight their oppressors for survival and freedom.
