Tetsuo: The Iron Man

From Japan Home Video comes Tetsuo: The Iron Man, directed by cult filmmaker Shinya Tsukamoto. His third picture is a gory but striking fantasy shot in the same low-budget, underground style as his first two. Tetsuo, a monstrous mix of flesh and metal, is primarily an audiovisual experience, with a pounding score by Chu Ishikawa and appropriately exaggerated sound effects.
