This emotional homage to the amazing life of Chickasaw Nation resident Mary Thompson Fisher is a moving look at a culture in transition and the way one lady used her voice to keep Native traditions and stories alive in this moving look at a culture in transition. Fisher, who was raised in Indian Territory, moved away from home to pursue her ambition of becoming an actress, only to discover that her true calling had been waiting for her all along at home. Fisher traveled the world, playing Native American songs and stories for heads of state, presidents of the United States, and European aristocracy in venues ranging from Chautauquas to Broadway and even the White House. Q'orianka Kilcher ("The New World") and Graham Greene star in this heartwarming depiction of a woman who's life was the most amazing story she never told.
