Take What You Can Carry is both a character study and a meditation on communication, creativity, and space. It's a picture of a young woman through the interiors she lives in and the people she meets. Lilly is a North American who is living in another country. She wants to build a private and intimate space of her own while still being able to connect with the world around her. As soon as she gets a letter from home, she can connect her current self with who she was before she left.
