More than three hundred years after the Battle of Dannoura, the Genji and Heike clans come face to face in a poor mountain town where tradition has it that there is a buried treasure trove. One day a revolver-wielding stranger wanders into town, a lone gunman burdened with emotional scars but blessed with extraordinary skill. He comes face to face with two warring clans who are both on the hunt for a hidden treasure in a remote western hamlet. Recognizing that his services are important to either side, he offers himself to the clan that will provide the highest portion of the spoils. Those in white represent Yoshitsune's Genji gang, while those in red represent Kiyomori's Heike gang. As major participants speculate about which group the gunman would join, their expectations collide. Dirty tricks, betrayal, passion, and, ultimately, love are all thrown together as the situation erupts into a fight between the characters.
