Strangled
Based on true events, this psycho-thriller takes place in 1960s rural Hungary, when a string of horrific killings shocks the little town of Martfü. Meanwhile, an innocent man is wrongfully charged and imprisoned for crimes he could not have done. Arriving on the scene, a dedicated detective quickly gets fascinated with the investigation, under pressure from the prosecution to execute a guy. From there, we are drawn into a web of complicated intrigue and horrific drama set in oppressive social, political, and psychological settings in socialist Hungary.
