Eight years after the third film, the OSS has risen to become the world's leading spy agency, while the Spy Kids division has ceased operations. Marissa (Jessica Alba), a retired spy, is dragged back into the action alongside her stepchildren as a crazed Timekeeper (Jeremy Piven) threatens to take over the globe. Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard) and Cecil (Mason Cook) must join forces with their despised stepmother to save the planet. Carmen and Juni have grown up and will now furnish them with electronics.
