Richard Haig is a prominent and accomplished English professor at Cambridge's Trinity College by day. By night, Richard indulges his love dreams with a regular supply of beautiful college students. Richard, though, has grown weary of the game and is now searching for something more significant and enduring. Richard is ecstatic when his tanned, athletic, 25-year-old American girlfriend Kate informs him that she is expecting. He anticipates having his own family and being a father his children might be proud of, not some sex-driven wildcat. There is only one difficulty. Kate is not Richard's true love. Richard is in love with Olivia, the sister of Kate. Since the first time he saw her, he had been in love with her.
