Michelle Miller is an insomniac. A year after Sarah experienced a miscarriage, she and Dan Miller are trying for their first child. She sleepwalks into her neighbor Luke Williams's room while Nancy is out of town. They have intercourse; she is ignorant, but he is madly in love with Michelle and resolves to leave Nancy for her. Dan and Luke's baby, Michelle, is born.
