In1992, Sandi Tan, a teenager from Singapore, collaborated with her enigmatic American tutor Georges to make Singapore's first independent road movie, which they shot and then lost. Now a novelist in Los Angeles, Tan is on a personal quest to track down Georges' fading traces after 20 years of searching for the 16mm film.
