Scott and Sid seem like the most unlikely of buddies from the moment they first met as kids in high school. Scott is a rambunctious dreamer who is determined to carve out his own path in life and to give the proverbial middle finger to everyone who tries to stand in his way of doing so. He is the typical problematic adolescent: by the age of fifteen, he has already attended his fifth high school, is estranged from his peers, is plagued by frequent nightmares, and is despised by his own foster parents. When it comes to wanting to be liked, Sid is a simple person. Sid's destitute and troubled upbringing has left him with little time for friends and little money for hobbies, leading him to become an unconfident, awkward loner by choice.
