In Bayou La Teche, Louisiana, the Cajun community comes alive as Splendid and Dolan are united in marriage. There is trouble when Splendid tries to keep her innocence on the wedding night. Meanwhile, across town, Splendids' cousin is dealing with her own set of troubles of her own making. Her boyfriend has been having an affair with the town hooker, Thais.
