Barrio without fathers The people of Puerto Rico are Rico works as a menial car mechanic during the day, but lives for the nights, when he dances and dates attractive dancing females, cockily confident he would win the impending Salsa king contest at upscale nightclub La Luna. He pushes his best friend, the obliging gentleman Ken, to date his sister Margarita in order to have access to her provocative classmate Lola. Luna, the reigning salsa queen, wants Rico to dance with her. Rico's relationship with Vicki is at risk because of this. When Ken and Margarita fall in love, there will be more trouble for them to deal with.
