Chanticleer is a naive farm rooster who believes his crows can make the sun rise and shine. When the sun fails to rise one morning without Chanticleer's crow, he abandons the farm in shame and flees to become a rock 'n' roll singer. In his absence, however, a sinister, sun-hating owl prepares to take over.
