Punk's Dead, the follow-up to the cult hit SLC Punk from 1999, is a punk romp through the Utah hinterlands. Young outsiders from various tribes, Ross, Penny, and Crash, set out on a road trip to a massive punk show. Ross, 19, is the love child of Trish and Heroin Bob, both of whom passed away before Ross was born. Ross shreds his darkly Gothic outlook and embraces life during their odyssey, with the help of a healthy dose of drugs, alcohol, and punk music. Trish, Ross's single mother who raised him in her steam punk shop, discovers that he is in crisis. She enlists the assistance of his 'uncles,' Bob's old SLC gang, to assist in his capture. When they all come together at the concert, they are forced to confront their unresolved issues with Bob.
