Currently, Norman is married to Connie, a young nurse who is expecting their first kid. Norman, on the other hand, is concerned that the child may inherit his mental disorder. During this time period, Fran Ambrose is a radio talk show host who is discussing the topic of matricide with guest Dr. Richmond, who used to work for Norman as a psychologist. Norman calls the radio station and tells his story under the identity "Ed." The radio station broadcasts Norman's narrative.
