As a child, Elijah has been moved from one group home to another. His art is what has kept him going. It was Elijah's fault for the death of another boy when a promised scholarship was taken away. Being condemned to at least fifteen years in prison, the young man now has to figure out how to keep his spirit alive in prison or risk becoming a bitter, hardened criminal.
