An artist who has lived a thousand different lives and is now 74 years old. Patti Smith's life is chronicled in detail throughout the documentary. First, childhood, and the words of the artist who says: "I yearned to stand out from the crowd. I felt detached. Not only did I feel isolated from the other children, but also from the rest of the world. Throughout my childhood, I was certain that I came from another planet." Little Patti was raised in the countryside of New Jersey by her mother, who was a Jehovah's Witness and provided her with a devout upbringing. Patti Smith, however, departs from the movement since it does not correspond with her artistic tendencies.
