Algiers, 1997. Terrorist groups are attempting to build an Islamic and medieval state in the country. Women are particularly afflicted and subjugated by primitive diktas, which seek to seize control of their bodies and restrict their movement in public. While a frantic hunt for women is initiated, Nedjma, a young student who is obsessed about fashion, is determined to unite the females on her campus in order to stage a fashion display that defies all the prohibited.
