Albert Lewin's interpretation of the legend of the Flying Dutchman. During the 1930s, Hendrick van der Zee, the mysterious captain of a yacht, appears in Esperanza, a small Spanish seaport (he is the only one aboard). Pandora is a stunning woman (who men kill and die for). She's never really fallen in love with a man, but she's drawn to Hendrick... We are quickly taught that Hendrick is the Flying Dutchman, a 17th century sailor cursed by God to wander the seas until Doomsday... unless a woman is willing to die for him...
