Lawyer for rural tycoon Luk, Law was convicted of killing a prominent landowner in a car accident. Luk was said to be behind the landowner's death, giving him an advantage in the native apartment purchase. Five years later, when Law is released, the world has changed. Meanwhile, Luk's corporation has grown stronger, and Keung has his own plan. But things take an unexpected turn. Then, with the help of Law's prison friend and computer genius Joe, Law drugs Sean and his brothers, then wiretaps their phones. Law discovers Keung's ultimate scheme through eavesdropping, which may irrevocably alter Hong Kong's land use.
