This movie is based on the true story of Farley Mowat, who was sent to the Canadian tundra to find proof that the wolf population was hurting caribou herds. A man who lives in a hard place has to study the animals in order to stay alive. The old beliefs about wolves and their supposed danger are almost always wrong. It turns out that humans are a bigger threat to the land and also to wolves, which play an important role in the ecosystem of the north.
