When a well-liked supermarket owner is killed early in the morning before the store opens, restauranteur and TV chef Billie Blessings (Robinson Peete) gets involved in the investigation of what seems to be the work of a clever and darkly sinister serial killer. Even though her relationship with police detective Ian Jackson (Fox) is becoming more romantic, Billie can't stay away from the case, even though it puts her in a lot of danger.
