Monkey in the Middle
Chris has just moved to the East Coast, and his workaholic father is already encouraging him to make new friends. Fortunately, football (soccer) practice begins, and Chris meets a few kids on the team, including his adorable neighbor Mara. Chris accepts Mara's invitation to assist in the liberation of some mistreated animals from the local fair. They go to the fair that night, but are apprehended by ringleader Malick, who chases them off the premises. Chris doesn't realize Momo, a lovable little monkey, is in his backpack until the next morning. Chris must find a way to keep Momo out of sight in order to avoid returning him to Malick's greedy clutches. But having a monkey has its advantages: Mara spends a lot of time with Chris, and Momo even lends Chris a hand on the football field. Chris' summer is bound to be filled with monkey business, but will it be enough to drive him insane?
