Moll Flanders
Moll, the daughter of a thief, is placed in the care of a nunnery after her mother is executed. However, the activities of an abusive priest cause Moll to rebel as a teenager, fleeing to the perilous streets of London. More disasters force her to accept a prostitute job from the devious Mrs. Allworthy. Moll first meets Hibble, who works as Allworthy's servant but is concerned about the young woman's well-being. She preserves hope for the future with his assistance, eventually falling in love with an unorthodox artist who provides the chance of romantic satisfaction.
