Marisa Ventura is a struggling single mother who works at a prestigious Manhattan hotel and wishes for a better life for herself and her small boy. Christopher Marshall, a hotel visitor and senatorial candidate, encounters Marisa one fateful day and mistakes her for a wealthy socialite.
