Brian Cohen is a normal young Jewish man, but after a series of silly things happen, he becomes known as the Messiah. When Brian isn't trying to avoid his followers or getting scolded by his loud mother, he has to deal with the pompous Pontius Pilate and the acronym-obsessed members of a separatist movement. The story is full of the absurdity that is typical of Monty Python, and Brian's life is compared to Biblical stories, but with a lot more laughs.
