It is based on the true story of Danny & Ron's Rescue. After Hurricane Katrina left thousands of canines trapped and abandoned, Ron Danta and Danny Robertshaw decided to intervene. Since then, the two guys have sheltered and rescued nearly 10,000 dogs.
