Letter to Brezhnev
This story of love, friendship, sex, and a letter to Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev is set in the factories, pubs, clubs, hotels, and streets of 1980s Liverpool. Teresa and Elaine, two Liverpool ladies, meet two Russian sailors, Sergei and Peter, and hook up for a night of fun and frolics. Elaine wants love, romance, and the ideal of a life far away from the filth of the Liverpool docklands, while Teresa wants sex and a smile. A classic British romantic comedy with new wave music, 80s fashion, a touch of politics, and a lot of heart.
