This time of year is a time for celebration and mischief on the Big Island of Hawaii. While surfing after dusk, Kai, Eddie, and Leilani, three high school pals, discover a strange idol in a hidden grotto. Within minutes, they discover that a gigantic pineapple-headed creature they summoned is the manifestation of an ancient evil they brought to the island. To defeat the evil, Kai must uncover his ancestry and believe in the ancient stories of his forefathers, which the kids discover through some magical friends.
