Last Kind Words
Eli, 17, moves with his family to the remote farm of reclusive Waylon, a man whose dark past threatens to consume him. Eli's family works to restore the desolate fields, while he is drawn to the forests. Eli meets the mysterious Amanda on the farm when she gives him an apple. The next day, she gets him to promise to stay out of the deep woods. After a violent encounter with his father, he breaks this promise one night and discovers her body hanging from a tree.
