Jug Face
The pit has made its voice heard. Dawai, a backwoods potter, has carved a face of the person the pit wishes to sacrifice on a ceramic jug. Ada, who is pregnant with her brother's child, sees her face on the jug and hides it in the woods to save her unborn child's life. If she does not sacrifice herself, the pit creature will kill everyone in the village until she does.
