Jean of the Joneses
Jean Jones, a gawky 25-year-old, discovers new love unexpectedly in the back of a Brooklyn ambulance with paramedic Ray Malcolm on the day her grandfather, whom she has never met, shows up on her porch and dies holding her book. Against her family's counsel, who all appear to be stewing in their own secrets, Jean plans Gray Jones' funeral and unearths some uncomfortable truths about the Jones ladies, her failed profession, and a crippling reluctance to move on from a previous romance.
