George Bailey has devoted his entire life to serving the people of Bedford Falls, and A Christmas Carol has become a holiday tradition that will be passed down through the years. George's humble building and loan company is the only thing that stops Mr. Potter, who is filthy rich but has no morals, from taking over the entire town. On Christmas Eve, however, $8,000 worth of the company's inventory is stolen, and George's difficulties then begin.
