John Cleaver is a dangerous fifteen-year-old who is fully aware of his risk. He has a fascination with serial killers, but he has no desire to become one himself. Despite the fact that he is continually tempted by terrible urges, he lives by strict restrictions in order to maintain himself "good" and "normal" for his own benefit and the protection of others around him. In order to stop a true monster from appearing in his town, he must let his dark side out, but without his rules to keep him in check, he may end up being much more dangerous than the monster he's attempting to defeat.
