When Jack and Sally announce that they are ending their relationship, their best friends Gabe and Judy are taken aback by their decision. Possibly primarily due to the fact that they are also moving apart and are now becoming aware of it. As a result, while Jack and Sally attempt to move on and meet new people, Gabe and Judy's marriage becomes increasingly strained, and they begin to notice that they are drawn to other people.
