Behrani, an Iranian immigrant, purchases a California house with the intention of renovating it, reselling it, and recouping enough money to send his son to college. The house, on the other hand, is legal property of Kathy, a former drug user. She is left with nowhere to go after losing her home in an unjust legal struggle with the county.
