When Fincher's girlfriend, Dr. Meghan Phillips, is declared a suspect in the first murder at Atlanta Memorial Hospital, forensic psychologist and former prosecutor Hailey Dean assists her friend, Detective Garland Fincher, in investigating a fast expanding pattern of killings. Hailey's acute investigative abilities, her intuitive ability to read people, and her zeal for justice lead her through a labyrinth of evidence that eventually point to the perpetrator as the list of suspects expands with each new victim's death.
