Growing the Big One
Emma Silver (Shannen Doherty), a radio DJ in Seattle, lives a glamorous city life until she learns of the death of her adored grandfather. When she travels to his farm in picturesque Valleyville, Washington to finalize the arrangements, she is astounded to realize her grandfather has given her the property, along with a large debt. Emma must raise the money to avoid the bank foreclosing, or risk watching her grandfather's prized land become a parking lot. Emma intends to continue her grandfather's illustrious heritage by entering Valleyville's annual pumpkin growing contest with his cherished seeds and growing the world's largest gourd. If she wins the $50,000 big prize, she will be able to save the farm. Emma accepts the task with the assistance of her neighbor, Seth (Kavan Smith), but the two wind themselves cultivating something much more evergreen.
