Gripped: Climbing the Killer Pillar
It is a survival film set atop a thousand foot cliff in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Rose, a Los Angeles gym climber, takes on her first outdoor climb in Gripped. Rose meets Bret, a seasoned outdoorsman, while climbing with her pal Jade. In spite of his better judgment, she convinces him to take her up the legendary "Killer Pillar" rock climbing path. Bret suffers a severe head injury and shoulder tear as he slips on ice. Rose must lead the ascent to the top, with no other option. They are forced to bivouac on a cliffside ledge when darkness falls due to their distance. Bret wanders in and out of consciousness the next day as a storm approaches. Rose has to save them both.
