In the summer of2013, producer/director Victoria Marie created a video for her YouTube channel called Gray Is The New Blonde. Surprisingly, the video prompted a flood of comments. “I was stunned,” she says. “I had no idea gray hair was so trendy.” She felt she had hit a chord and wanted to get more involved but she was just a few months away from relocating to Los Angeles so she had to wait. In order to stand out in the competitive entertainment world, she had to develop her own content after a year of struggling in LA. Her interest in women with gray hair had grown steadily since. So was born the Gray Is The New Blonde film.
